When properly delivered, apprenticeships offer an effective way to grow talent and develop a motivated, highly skilled workforce. A recent survey by the education and skills think tank EDSK shows that the majority of apprentices that failed to complete their programme in England cited poor quality as the reason behind their failure. Complaints stated that the programmes were disorganised, unhelpful or lacking in the rigorous training that was expected.
At MetaGedu, we believe that all apprentices deserve the very best learning experience regardless of the level, duration, funding band and geographic location. We recognise the importance of combining the knowledge, skills and behaviours into a curriculum that fits the employers needs and providing a personal development plan that equips apprentices to succeed in their current role and the future world of work.
Using a solutions-based approach, we focus on the needs and challenges of the sectors and employers we service, making informed decisions guided by research and integrity. Programmes are developed through consultation with employers, using subject matter experts to sequence and add value to the programme that is designed specifically for the employer. This results in a common and transparent understanding of the training that the apprentices will receive, giving a greater return on investment and a clearer path to success.
Apprenticeships are not just “work-based learning”, and each journey does not follow the same path. Our passion is to support talented people to achieve their goals by removing barriers to opportunity. we use technology where it benefits the learner, and our inclusive delivery is a result of us understanding each learners’ individual needs.
Delivery of the curriculum is sequenced to ensure that the learner is receiving the right training at the right time for the business, using a scaffolded approach that systematically builds on the learners knowledge and experiences as they are gaining new skills. We use tailored electronic learning ahead of our instructor led workshop sessions, the learner then returns into the workplace where the practical application of this new knowledge is converted into competence.
Our aim is to do things differently and we will achieve this by doing them properly. We are unapologetic in our approach to delivery; recognising the importance of training off the job and challenging our learners to reach their potential.
Our vision is to become the benchmark of apprenticeship delivery, impacting not only on the apprentices and employers that we directly serve, but also the apprenticeship sector as a whole.
We aim to have a positive impact through every interaction, ensuring that all applicants become better equipped should they go on to train with us or not.
We will champion apprenticeships, providing the information that is lacking for learners, parents, teachers and careers advisors. Leading to better, more informed decisions and an understanding of the benefits apprenticeships have to offer.
We will support organisations in finding the solutions to their long-term training needs, creating development plans through apprenticeships from entry to senior positions.
Preparing learners for life and not just work, we will support in the personal development of each and every learner.

MetaGedu Apprenticeships is part of the GEDU group of education companies. GEDU began in 2010 with GBS set up as a specialist training centre for finance and investment banking, GBS originally offered courses to students from around the world. Over the last 11 years, we’ve evolved and grown so we can offer more qualifications to even more students.
In 2016, we opened our first campus, in London’s iconic East End and that’s what shaped the institution we are today. As one of the city’s most economically deprived areas, we quickly realised we could improve communities by reaching those from backgrounds where traditional university wasn’t an option.
Fast-forward to 2021 and we have campuses in Malta and Dubai, as well as our campuses in key UK cities. And we offer a range of exciting programmes including apprenticeships and vocational courses plus traditional degree and masters programmes. With 14,000 people learning, growing and developing with us, the GEDU journey has only just begun.
