Chairman of the Advisory Board

Stanley Johnson

Stanley Johnson is a passionate environmentalist and advocate for animal welfare. He is an ambassador for the UNEP Convention on the Conservation of Migratory Species of Wild Animals and a recipient of the Greenpeace Award for Services to the Environment.

 

He previously served on the staff of the World Bank, worked with the European Commission during 1973-1979 as Head of the Prevention of Pollution Division, and served as MEP for Wight and Hampshire until 1982. Mr. Johnson is also an accomplished novelist and prize-winning poet.

Sir Tim Lankester

After studying Economics at Cambridge and Yale, Sir Tim Lankester joined the British Civil Service in 1973. He held several senior positions at the Treasury (including roles as Britain’s Director on the boards of the IMF, the World Bank, and the European Investment Bank), as well as prominent roles at the Department for International Development and the Department for Education.

 

During 1978-1981 he was Private Secretary (Economic Affairs) to Prime Ministers James Callaghan and Margaret Thatcher. From 1981-1983 he was seconded from the Civil Service to investment bank S. G. Warburg. He was knighted for public service in 1994.

Lady Gabriella Windsor

Lady Gabriella Windsor is a prominent author and philanthropist. She advises Latin American companies expanding into the UK (and vice-versa), drawing from her experience living in the region and from her work with Latin America’s public and private sectors over the past 12 years. Lady Gabriella is an accomplished writer, having featured in several prominent UK media outlets including the Sunday Telegraph, the Evening Standard, Country Life, The Spectator, and The London Magazine. She holds a BA in Comparative Literature from Brown University and an MPhil in Social Anthropology from Linacre College, Oxford.
